The first product upgrades and announcements from Microsoft for 2023 are made. Advertisers should read the following information.

Today, Microsoft released the most recent round of improvements to its advertising products.

Launching Microsoft Store Ads on desktop computers is one of the most significant upgrades.

The Microsoft advertising products have been updated, including:

  • Microsoft Store Ads

  • In-Market Audience Expansion

  • Responsive Search Ads Update.

Expand Reach With Microsoft Store Ads:

This update is for you if you work in the gaming or app industries.

Your advertisement will be displayed in the Microsoft Store app on desktop computers running Windows 10 and 11.

The adverts will appear more explicitly on the store's Apps and Gaming tabs.

Here is an illustration of how Microsoft Store advertisements will appear:

Some of the benefits of the new Microsoft Store ads include the following:

  1. Increased exposure of your game or app on more devices

  2. Within the Microsoft Ads platform, simple campaign setup and management

  3. Compatibility with the existing UET tag for behaviour tracking

You must submit your brand and link store products to your Microsoft Advertising account in order to start using Microsoft Store advertisements. Once accepted, you can use this format right away.

In-Market Audiences Expand Internationally:

The In-Market audience segments have recently been declared to have extended to additional markets in the Middle East and Africa.

The following markets in the Middle East and Africa now have access to 71 In-Market audiences:

Final Call For Expanded Text Ads:

Microsoft reminded advertisers that the deadline to create or alter any Expanded Text Ad is January 31st, even though this isn't a brand-new update.

Responsive Search Advertisements are the only new search ads that may be made as of February 1.

Expanded Text Ads that are already in your account will keep running. However, after the deadline of January 31, you won't be allowed to make or modify ETAs.

This won't come as a surprise if you're conducting Google Search campaigns in addition to Microsoft Search campaigns. On June 30, 2022, Google became the first company to formally discontinue ETAs.
